Back to Business BR

We know that this time has been difficult—for everyone. So, let’s support our community by championing our local businesses. After all, a strong economy is essential to our future. And while prioritizing the safety and health of our community, let’s get back to business!

Back to Business BR is an initiative to create awareness and encourage residents to support our local business economy. Consider this your invitation to get outdoors, shop, dine, and celebrate the arts with us. And, as always, buy local when you can. Join us on Facebook and use the hashtag #b2bBR to tell us how you’re getting Back to Business.

Most importantly—Be safe. Stay healthy. And let’s keep our community rolling.

A Community At Work

During the months of the COVID-19 pandemic, so many of our fellow Baton Rougeans joined together to support one another. THANK YOU to these businesses and organizations for their efforts.

Back to Business Partners

These community-minded organizations were here for Baton Rouge before and during this pandemic. Now we’ve joined together to help ensure Baton Rouge’s business community is here long after too.

Our City

Keep BR Serving

Baton Rouge’s restaurant community was hard-hit during this time. To help support these local businesses and their employees, residents could buy gift cards. These purchases helped to make up servers’ lost wages.

Banking on BR

The less fortunate in our area are among the most affected. The Guaranty Foundation and GMFS Mortgage asked the community to join them in "Banking on BR," to support the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.‍

Red Stick Together

Designed by Red Six Media, proceeds from sales of shirts, stickers, hats, and signs were distributed to the Baton Rouge Area Foundation’s Emergency Relief Fund for Coronavirus Pandemic & Disaster Resources.‍

Baton Rouge Area Businesses Affected by COVID 19

‍This Facebook group was started by Michelle Southern with Guaranty Media. Through it, area businesses and customers communicated to showcase merchandise, specials, or promotions.

19 Thanks

A statewide celebration of essential workers on the 19th of every month at 19:00 hours (7 p.m.). Join in the virtual second line for our front line workers on May 19 to honor these essential saints marching into work to keep us going.

PPE Marketplace

BRAC and Lyons Specialty Co. LLC have partnered to source a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Marketplace for the Capital Region’s business community. Having enough PPE is a critical component to safely reopening more businesses. BRAC strongly recommends that businesses make preparations in advance of anticipated opening dates, including the procurement of necessary PPE for employees, and sanitization supplies to ensure employee, vendor, and customer safety.
